Provincial Guidelines for Removing Immigration Terms
& Conditions
Within two years of arriving in Canada, an Entrepreneur immigrant who chooses
to settle in British Columbia should have met the provincial guidelines
for removing terms and conditions, including, but not limited to:
The Entrepreneur must make a substantial investment in a business in British Columbia. An Entrepreneur may purchase an already established business (so long as that business has not previously been used by another Entrepreneur to remove their terms and conditions). Substantial investment is defined by the province as a minimum of $150,000 Canadian (writer's note: approx $100,500 USD, rates vary)
The business the Entrepreneur invests in must make a significant contribution to the economy...
The Entrepreneur must provide active and on-going participation in the day to day management of the business. The Entrepreneur Immigration category is for those who wish to be actively involved, it is not a category for anyone who wishes to make a passive investment.
The Current Business Owner will assist in Immigration Proceedings to a Qualified Purchaser.
